4th of July Shopping!

One of my favorite things to do is shopping.  There is just something about new clothes and shoes and handbags that just makes me feel better.  And it feels even better when you get to go to the outlet malls and get some deals on some of your favorite designers.  While in Cape Cod last week, my mom, my sister, and I decided to go to the outlet mall about an hour away and go shopping.  It is always fun getting to go just the three of us since it is something that we don't get to do all that often.

We stopped at a bunch of different stores including Micheal Kors, Coach, Juicy Couture, Banana Republic, Kate Spade, and we picked up a couple of things.  We of course saved the best for last.  We found out that this outlet mall had a Tory Burch outlet, which is one of my FAVORITE designers and one of my mom's as well.  I recently got her hooked on Tory Burch Thora Sandals.  Lets just say I bought a pair, she borrowed them, and she now owns them in four different colors.

So we were all obviously very anxious to get to the outlet store.  Once we got there, it was just a frenzy.  We were trying on everything we could find- shoes, clothes, purses.  And to top it all off they were having a sale.  At the end of the day I walked away with this amazing new sweater...

And this new bag that I LOVE...

This bag will be great for when my husband and I travel to Europe next month.  It is not only a cross body, but also huge!  You can carry it folded over, or you can move the strap and attach it to the top of the bag and carry it unfolded.  This is great for someone like me who always has to carry their whole life with them.  All in all, I would say it was a pretty successful shopping spree!

4th of July on Cape Cod

My hubby and I recently got back from a trip to Cape Cod, MA!  We were there the week of the 4th of July.  Fortunately, we am lucky enough to get to go to the Cape every summer since my grandparents have a beach house there.

One of my favorite things about Cape Cod is all of the amazing restaurants and seafood there is!  One the first day that we were there my husband and I decided to go on a little drive around to find different light houses and search for some good seafood!  We ended up in Chatham to see the lighthouse there and found a little restaurant called The Lazy Lobster which has some amazing crab cakes and lobster rolls!

My parents and my sister also met us there later in the week from the Midwest and we went out to an amazing dinner at The Lobster Trap.  There was a long wait since they do not take reservations but luckily we were able to get some great seats on the patio and drinks while we waited.

Last but not least, we went out to an amazing family dinner (with my dad's whole side of the family!) at the Casino Wharf FX which is right on the water and has an amazing view.

My mom, my sister, and I also went on an amazing shopping trip while we were there!  I will save the details for another blog post though! :)

My First Blog!

Just a warning: I have never had a blog before (it took me about 20 min to even figure out how to create one) and I am definitely not a writer, but I love reading blogs about all kinds of things.  I have always wanted to start my own but never knew what I would write about or what people would think.  But here we go...

My name is Caitlin.  I am a somewhat recent college grad and an even more recent wife.  I married my best friend last summer in my dream wedding!  I was born and raised in the Midwest but moved to Southern California after college to get a job and that is where I am now.  I love traveling (even though I hate to fly), fashion, beauty, food, working out, having fun with my friends, meeting new people, discovering new things to do, my family, and my little puppy Winnie.  I am starting this blog to organize all of my thoughts and ideas and to share some of my experiences as a wife, a young marketing professional, a fashionable shopaholic, and a twenty something year old still having fun in between!  So stay tuned for more...
